At last, our long winter’s thaw is over and we’re ready to get back in action. That long thaw has also flattened vegetation and maximized outdoor views, so let’s take advantage of all of the above on the first full day of spring, Saturday, March 21st.
We have big plans this year for the Quarry Rock Garden, the signature feature of the Friends Loops, and we’ll get started on it that morning. Additional details to come, but for now, plan on joining us at 9am that day at Mermaid Park in Chestnut Hill (between Mermaid Inn and Chestnut Hill Flower & Garden).
PLEASE NOTE: The Chestnut Hill Farmers Market will be operating during the hours of the workday, so if you’re driving, please do not park immediately in front of the park — you can park on the Mt Airy side of Germantown Avenue (7500 block, by New Covenant Campus).
