Hate to do it folks, but… well, we’ve all been outside in the past two weeks. If the snow isn’t fully melted by Sunday, trail conditions will be hard and slick; if it is melted, things will be muddy and gross. Ergo, we’ve made the unpleasant decision to CANCEL our February volunteer workday, planned for Sunday February 15th.
That said, we’re *this close* to locking in some weekday opportunities, and our next scheduled outing is only a month and change away. That one’s coming Saturday, March 21st, the first full day of spring. Save that date and stay tuned for other details.
In the meantime, go easy on the trail when the snow finally does melt. If it’s squishy and you leave footprints or tracks, best to stick to harder surfaces and come back later. Forbidden Drive, Green Ribbon (Fort Washington SP section), and Schuylkill River Trail are all good nearby options.
