LOVE YOUR PARK SPRING 2023
Friends of the Cresheim Trail is happy to once again partner with our friends at the Philadelphia Streets Department and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation for a cleanup of Cresheim Valley Drive. It’s part of the Spring 2023 Love Your Park Service, held in partnership by PPR and Fairmount Park Conservancy.
With help from Streets and PPR trash trucks, we’ll close CV Drive to motor traffic between Germantown and Stenton Avenues, and get out on foot and on bike to pick up litter. (We do the stretch between Germantown Ave and Allens Lane in the fall.) Our pals from Mt Airy Trash Team will join us, and all of it counts toward your Weavers Way hours. Best of all, we’ll have cookies from Night Kitchen Bakery and caffeine from Locals Coffee!
We’re hoping for a big turnout so we can make quick work of the cleanup and then check out two immediately adjacent attractions: The new Friends Loop trail on the Chestnut Hill side of CV Drive, and the next phase of Cresheim Trail proper on the old Pennsylvania Railroad alignment between Germantown and Stenton.
