It is with great excitement that the Friends of the Cresheim Trail formally announce our 2026 formal. Well, maybe not formal, as our dress code is always Come As You Are. But please do come — it’s the TOAST TO THE TRAIL, coming Friday, May 29th, 7–9pm at the Venetian Social Club.

With your support in both donations and volunteer hours over the last few years, FOCT has built incredible momentum as we look ahead to new phases of the trail. Since 2023, we have…
- added nearly a mile of new native surface, single-track trail, in new parts of the park;
- opened the “rough draft” of the rail trail between Germantown and Stenton Avenues;
- begun official design for the same segment with the City of Philadelphia;
- installed wayfinding trail posts across the Cresheim Trail network;
- made improvements to the Outdoor Classroom, including benches and a new kiosk;
- launched a project to restore the Quarry Rock Garden;
- hired our first-ever executive director;
- secured over $250K in grants from the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, William Penn Foundation, Athletic Brewing Company, McLean Contributionship, and Fairmount Park Conservancy;
- built relationships with partners in the communities where new phases of the trail will go;
- and continued our stewardship of the Cresheim Trail network and habitat it serves.

And, we’ll honor longtime CT leaders Susan and David Dannenberg with the inaugural Cresheim Cup award.
