While this segment is small, it’s very important.
Serving as the gateway to Chestnut Hill, the Crittenden Connector leads trail users to a future crossing of Cresheim Valley Drive, where users will be able to safely cross the Drive and continue on the sidewalks on Crittenden Street and on to the Acme/Market Square shopping center, as well as the Wyndmoor Station on SEPTA’s Chestnut Hill East Line.
A small but versatile trail, the Crittenden Connector is the tie that binds the Cresheim Rail Trail, Ed’s Loop, and the Wissahickon East trails. It’s also a regular staging area for volunteer workdays.
